Realtor.com Offers Enhancements for i-LEAD Web Pages

For REALTORS® who are Realtor.com i-LEAD and Agent Simple customers, there are some new enhancements that have just been announced. Featuring a new technology that has been licensed from PictureWorks, Inc. and customized into a trademarked product called PicturePoint, Realtor.com now offers something the company says Realtors have been clamoring for - instant customization of listings and additional choices in personal website design. The applications are tailored specifically for Realtors as far as file and viewer size. In the past, Realtors have been allowed to add additional photos and custom text to their i-LEAD web pages, but PicturePoint allows instant posting of photos. "We still have methods in place to receive photographs (from Realtors) via email or snail mail," explains Jerome Marr, product development manager for Realtor.com. "With PicturePoint, the Realtors can post the photos themselves, It"s instant, and there is no waiting for scanning, or the post. Second, they can replace the MLS photo with a different photo, or a different view. Third, they can move the pictures around if they don"t like the order. The results are instantaneous. You can"t beat instant posting of pictures to the Web. PicturePoint® automatically previews, resizes and formats photos, saving time for the real estate professional and increasing photo quality. The enhanced listings are instantly available for viewing by any REALTOR.com visitor searching properties for sale. Once installed, PicturePoint enables real estate professionals to add images themselves through the REALTOR.com website with no waiting and without having to deal with additional plug-ins or other software. Marr says, "I go to all the shows and ask Realtors in person what they want in a product. At the NAR convention, some came back the next day with photographs which we posted instantly to the Web. The Realtors loved it. They can drag and drop the photos. "My goal is to generate leads on the Internet for Realtors," continues Marr. "The more they get, the happier they are. I try to get people on the Internet and steer them to the Realtor. One of the best ways to get them to contact a Realtor is via a listing." "On the Internet, it"s all about eye candy. If something looks good, consumers are more apt to click on it. If they click on it, they are more likely to contact the Realtor," reasons Marr. "And the easier it is for the Realtor to do, the more apt Realtors will be to take advantage of these new enhancements to their i-LEAD pages." In addition to the new PicturePoint technology, REALTOR.com is also offering three new looks in i-LEAD(tm) personal website design. Customers can pick among a variety of designs, and they can change designs at anytime, virtually instantly, by themselves. Also See: Online Broker Scores With Multiple Sites

Learn The Differences Between Lenders
Working effectively with today’s buyers and sellers using real estate finance requires us to find the right loan officers and lenders. Meet with the loan officers you are most likely to suggest to your buyers. They need to understand the critical role they play in your approach to buyers. Personally, I like to set some ground rules so we are both on the same page as we move forward to develop a mutually beneficial relationship (Setting Referral Guidelines With Lenders, 7/5/02).
