Former Cendant executive Bob Moles has left the company to join childhood friends and family in a start-up real estate firm where he"ll bring his brokerage and relocation expertise to bear.
Prior to working his way up the Cendant ladder as president and CEO of Century 21Real Estate Corporation and later as CEO of the Real Estate Franchise Group, Moles was the president and CEO of Contempo Realty, Inc., in Santa Clara, CA.
Leaving the largest franchiser of residential and commercial real estate brokerage offices in the world behind, Moles is now driving the highways of California with the top down, he says.
He is the new chairman and co-owner of Intero Real Estate Services, a firm that has rapidly grown to a body count of about 950 by emphasizing what Silicon Valley home buyers and sellers want - up-to-the-nanosecond real estate services.
Alex Perriello will succeed Moles at Cendant, and will be responsible for the growth and development of the real estate franchise brands: Century 21(R), Coldwell Banker(R), Coldwell Banker Commercial(R), ERA(R) and Sotheby’s International Realty(R). Perriello was bumped upstairs from his position as president and CEO of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation, where he had been associated since 1983.
Meanwhile at GMAC Home Services, Lane Barnett has been named president and CEO of the GMAC Real Estate Franchise Business Unit which includes more than 1,300 offices throughout the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
CEO John Bearden’s vision for GMAC is to transform GMAC Home Services into a unique national home services company that seamlessly provides brokerage, mortgages, title and closing services, and insurance and home warranties.
Barnett was formerly executive vice president of the GMAC Support Services Group, having joined GMAC Home Services in 2002 as executive vice president of marketing and communications. Until 1996, Barnett was associated with Coldwell Banker Corporation.
